12 Restaurants sealed over unhygienic food supply in Makkah

MAKKAH: Saudi Officials has sealed 12 restaurants in Makkah over unhygienic food supply, while 14 other restaurants have been issued warning.

As per Saudi newspaper report, Department of Public Health, City Administration has started a campaign to make sure that the there is a hygienic food supply throughout the city. During the campaign, all the restaurants and hotels will be inspected and those who will be violating the rules and regulations, they will be penalized and strict actions will be taken against them.

During campaign a sale of expiry food products from hotels to their customers has also been countered. Public Health Safety teams has also captured food items of around 838 kilograms, which were stored in inappropriate manner.
