Beacon House Branch sealed for illegal construction

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to take all possible actions against Beacon House Garden Town Branch Lahore, for illegal construction. School building get sealed.

Justice Shahid Mubeen heard a case on a request of Garden Town resident Mr. Akbar Chaudhary. High Court directed to Lahore Development Authority to take possible actions against Beacon House Garden Town Branch. Petitioner told that Beacon House has constructed an illegal building in Garden Town Branch and further construction is underway. Due to the construction, local residents are facing lots of problems.

According to Lahore Development Authority’s law, no commercial building can be built within residential societies. Beacon House administration never received an approval from LDA for construction of school, neither they requested for map approval.

LDA lawyer told to the court that, Beacon House didn’t get permission before constructing a school from LDA. After hearing the case, court ordered to take all possible actions against illegal construction. Court session was adjourned till August 24, 2015. LDA Team as per High Court’s direction has sealed the Beacon House Garden Town Branch and has been locked.
