KARACHI: In last 2 decades, a smoking within Pakistan has been increased rapidly. Smoking is now not only limited to adults, but also has been increased its addiction in teen agers as well.
Pakistan Tobacco Company (British American Tobacco Company’s Pakistan Branch) showed profits of Rs. 1 Million per hour during first 6 month of current year, i.e. January 2015 till June 30, 2015. During this tenure a total profit was Rs. 4.70 Billions. Company claimed that this has been a highest number of profit the company have ever achieved during 6 months duration.
During last year, in same tenure company achieved the profits of Rs. 2.80 Billions. Which means company has achieved a record increase in their profit rate by Rs. 1.90 Billion increase in their profit rate.
