Metro Orange Line will have 24 stations and the project will be completed with the investment of $1.5 Billion.
LAHORE: Yet another big news for People of Lahore. After Metro Bus project, Government of Punjab is about to initiate a project of Metro Orange Lines. This service will initially be between Thokar Niaz Baig till Dera Gujran. The project will consist of 24 stations at the earth base and 2 stations will be developed under the earth. Fare will be almost similar to the Metro Bus.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed around 51 projects. Metro Orange Lines is one those projects. The project will be completed with the total investment of $1.5 Billion. Chinese Company who will supply the trains have waived around $600 Millions in this project.
Train will route from Ali Town – Thokar Niaz Baig and travels through Canal View, Wahdat Road, Bundar Road, Sumanabad and Chobar. These all stations will be on the ground, while after Chobar Train has to go through GPO Chowk, Lakshmi Chowk, Railway Station, Engineering University, Shalamar Bagh, Mehmood Booti, Islam Park through an in ground route. The train’s last stop will be Dera Gujran.
The project will have a train for the travelers after every 30 minutes. Train will complete its 2701 Kilometers distance in 40 minutes. Train will have around 27 Coaches. Around 2.25 lac people will be able to travel in 24 hours through this project. Government of Punjab has decided to initiate its Civil works from May. Project will be completed in seven phases in a tenure of 2 years.

چين جي صدر شي چن پنگ ۽ وزير اعظم ميان نواز شريف ۵۱ منصوبن جو بنياد رکيو، انهن منصوبن مان ميٽرو اوريج لائن به ھڪ آھي جنهن تي ڪل لاڳت ۱.۵ ارب ڊالر ايندي.
پنجاب حڪومت ٽرين سپلائي ڪرڻ واري چيني ڪمپني کان ۷۰۰ ملين ڊالر گھٽ ڪرائي ڇڏيا آھن.
ٽرين علي ٽائون ٺوڪر نياز بيگ کان شروع ٿي ڪينال ويو، وحدت روڊ، بندر روڊ، سمن آباد، چوبر تائين زمين مٿان ۽ پوءِ جي پي او چوڪ کان زمين جي اندران لڪشمي چوڪ، ريلوي اسٽيشن، انجينرنگ يونيورسٽي، شالامار باغ، محمود بوٽي، اسلام پارڪ پھچندي، ٽرين جو آخري اسٽيشن ڊيرا گجران ھوندو.
ٽرين ھر اڌ ڪلاڪ کان پوءِ ھلندي، ۲۷.۱ ڪلو ميٽر جو فاصلو ۴۰ منٽن ۾ طي ٿيندو. ٽرين جا تقريبا ۲۷ دٻا ھوندا، ۲۴ ڪلاڪن ۾ سوا ٻه لک ماڻھو ٽرين ۾ سفر ڪري سگھندا. پنجاب حڪومت مئي ۾ سول ورڪس شروع ڪرڻ جو فيصلو ڪيو آھي، منصوبي کي ست حصن ۾ ٻه سالن جي عرصي ۾ مڪمل ڪيو ويندو.
