New Zealand took unique record on its name against England in the second match of the series in Leeds. Eight Kiwi batsmen hit sixes during the third inning of the test match is being played in leads which is a record in the history of Test cricket. Eight batsmen of any team did not hit sixes in an inning of the test match. New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum, Steve J, Runcie Luke, Mark Craig, Tim Southee and Matt Henry hit sixes. The previous record had jointly with New Zealand and South Africa. Seven Proteas batsmen hit sixes during an inning played between South Africa and the West Indies in 2010. While New Zealand had leveled the record against Pakistan in Test match in 2014.
