Oil Supply stopped by Sindh Oil Tankers Association

KARACHI: Oil Tankers Association has given a call for Strike throughout the Sindh. A Call has been given on an increase of Sales Tax by the Government.

During the strike call by Oil Tankers Association, they have stopped a supply of Petrol, Diesel and Furnace Oil. According to details, a call has been given on an increase of Sales Tax by Government of Sindh. While giving a strike call, Association has suspended a supply of Petrol, Diesel and Furnace Oil.

According to Oil Tankers Association’s Senior Executive Salman Tareen, Government of Sindh assured the association that there will be no such increase in Sales Tax, while Government has increase the sales tax upto 6%. He said that effective today, around 6000 oil tankers available within the fleet, will not be on roads until and unless the decision of Sales Tax is not going to be reversed. He said that if Sindh Government didn’t revert the decision, than the strike will remain active for a longer time.

ڪراچي: آئل ٽينڪرز ايسوسيئيشن سيلز ٽيڪس جي خلاف ھڙتال ڪندي پيٽرول، ڊيزل ۽ فرنس آئل جي سپلاءِ کي روڪي ڇڏيو آھي. وڌيڪ معلومات جي مطابق آئل ڪنٽريڪٽرز ايسوسيئيشن سنڌ حڪومت جي پاران خدمتن تي سيلس ٽيڪس عائد ڪرڻ جي خلاف ھڙتال ڪري ڇڏي آھي. پيٽرول، ڊيزل ۽ فرنس آئل جي سپلاءِ  بند ڪري ڇڏي آھي. آئل ٽينڪر ڪنٽريڪٽرز ايسوسيئيشن جي سينئر ايگزيڪٽيو سليمان ترين جو چوڻ آھي ته حڪومتِ سنڌ يقين ڏياريو ھيو ته سيلز ٽيڪس نه لڳايو ويندو، بجٽ ۾ ڇَھَ فيصد ٽيڪس عائد ڪيو ويو آھي. انھن چيو ته اڄ کان فليٽ ۾ موجود ڇَھَ ھزار ٽينڪرز بيھاريا ويندا. سنڌ حڪومت سيلس ٽيڪس واپس نه ورتو ته ھڙتال گھڻي مدت تائين جاري رھندي.
