Sindh government decided to restore Circular Railway in Karachi

The Sindh government has decided to restore Circular Railway in Karachi and this project will be completed with the help of Japanese company. According to the details, the Supreme Court Karachi Registry is hearing a case related to the closure of Chung Chi and Secretary Transport submitted the report of providing alternative transport in Karachi. Secretary of Transport reported that the alternative plans for Chung Chi Rickshaws are in under consideration. In this regard, the export of solar powered rickshaws are also being considered.  According to a report, it has been decided to restore the Circular Railway in Karachi with the help of Japanese Company. The corridor will be made from Model Colony to Mazar-e-Quaid. Three hundred fifty thousand passengers will get benefit from 21 km corridor in a day while the corridor will also be made from Dawood roundabout to Saddar and one hundred fifty thousand people will get benefit from the 26 km corridor in a day. The case was headed by two member bench consist of Justice Ameer Hani and Justice Gulzar Ahmed and the court adjourned the case till September 28.
