Famous Australian Off-spinner Hauritz Declares Retirement

MELBOURNE: Australian off-spinner Nathan Hauritz declared his retirement from competitive cricket on the day of Tuesday, ending the 15-year career during which he reflected the national side in all 3 formats.

Hauritz, one of the various spinners Australia turned to after the retirement of bowling iconic Shane Warne, did not have a state contract for the previous 2 seasons and was utilized by his Big Bash League side Melbourne Renegades for 1match in this very season.

The 34-year-old was unsuccessful to get a wicket in that clash, against Perth Scorchers, and got 29 runs in his 2 overs.
