ISLAMABAD: Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) suspended licenses of more than 100 NGOs including a license of Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman (MKR) Foundation.
According to Private News TV Channel, SECP has suspended the licenses of more than 100 NGOs, which were working within Pakistan. Sources told that SECP has suspended the licenses of Golf Club, Karachi Press Club and Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Foundation as well.
A crackdown was initiated by Interior Minister in Pakistan against such NGOs, which are working against the sovereignty of Pakistan. Officials told that, they will assure that there should be no illegal NGO working within the country. They said that they’ll not let them permit to run their NGOs for any illegal activities. In his regards, they already have suspended the licenses of more 100 NGOs within Pakistan.
