Organizers of Champions League have decided to cancel the tournament due to lack of public interest. This annual tournament was started in 2009 in which T-20 champions teams of different countries were participated in this tournament. This tournament was organized by Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia and Cricket South Africa. BCCI issued a statement and saying that the tournament was cancelled due to lack of public interest. The seventh Champions League T-20 had to be held in September and October this year. BCCI official Anu Rag Thakur said that Champions League unexpectedly could not get public interest as we had expected. It should be clear that Champions League started in India after the success of Indian Premier League (IPL).
