The negotiations between government and traders representative on the issue of deduction of 0.6 percent tax on all banking transactions over fifty thousand rupees. The finance minister said that after negotiations that this tax has become an act of parliament, it is not easy to take it back. To review the issue, the finance minister formed nineteen members committee headed by chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa, in which seven representatives of traders, seven representatives of chambers, two members of National Assembly and Prime Minister’s special assistant revenue Haroon Akhtar are included. The trader community says that they want to resolve the matter amicably. The committee meeting will be 11:00 tomorrow at the FBR headquarter.
