ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has made another promise with International Monetary Fund (IMF), related to privatization of National Institutions.
Chairman Privatization Commission, Mr. Muhammad Zubair said that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will be sold by March, 2016. Sources told that, a meeting was held at Dubai between Pakistani Officials and IMF Officials. A meeting was held due to eighth review process of current economic conditions of Pakistan. In a meeting, it has been decided that Pakistan will sell out 26% shares of Pakistan International Airline.
Chairman Privatization Commission, Mr. Zubair said that, all processes of selling out PIA will be completed by March, 2016. Whereas, a transaction structure will be completed within one month, after which be sent to Ministry of Law for consideration. Government will seek approval from Committee for Privatization during next month on Transaction Structure.
