NEW YORK: If you are also WhatsApp user, than you might be shocked after reading this post. A news which has predicted that a famous Social Media App, which is available in the market with the name of WhatsApp is considered to be worst ever in Data Security.
The report has been published by Electronic Frontier Foundation. In this report, they have conducted a survey of Social Media Apps. In the report they have charted that which application has the strongest and weakest security systems. Company is publishing such kind of reports since 2011. The report comprises of 5 different phases. In the report they have given the importance to the security system of the Social Media users and they have told that how much data of users is safe in these kind of apps. The analysis has been carried on following 5 security measurements;
- How much data security has been provided by that particular app?
- Whether any specific policy of Data Security has been provided?
- Does the company informs about Data sharing with Government Officials on demand?
- Does Company provides information on their lost data as per Government Direction?
- Does Company allows Government Officials to view data of any user?
A rating list has been prepared by analyzing the above 5 security measurements. According to the list, Adobe, Amazon and Apple are on top of the list, while Microsoft is considered to be a medium based company in regards to the Data Security. WhatsApp is considered to worst ever company in regards to the data security measurements. Report revealed that company not only has any kind of secure data measurements but also it can reveal anyone’s data on Government Officials request without prior approval of a user. According to the experts, they believe that WhatsApp is worst of its kind in data security measurements.

هيءَ رپورٽ اليڪٽرانڪ فرنٽيئر فائونڊيشن جي طرفان شايع ڪئي وئي آهي. اُن ۾ سڀني سوشل ميڊيا ايپس جو جائزو وٺي ڪري ٻڌايو ويو آهي ته ڪهڙي ايپ توهان جي ڊيٽا جي حفاظت لاءِ ڪيتري حد تائين ڪامياب آهي؟ ڪمپني هيءَ رپورٽ 2011 کان شائع ڪري رهي آهي ۽ انهن پنج اهم مرحلن مان گزاري هن رپورٽ کي تيار ڪيو ويندو آهي. هن رپورٽ ۾ ان شيءِ کي اهميت ڏني ويندي آهي ته سوشل ميڊيا ايپس صارفين جي ڊيٽا جي ڪيتري حد تائين حفاظت مهيا ڪري سگھي ٿي؟ ڇا حڪومتي درخواست تي ڪنهن به ماڻهوءَ جو ڊيٽا انهن کي ڏئي سگھجي ٿو؟ ڇا ڊيٽا جي متعلق ڪا واضع پاليسي بيان ڪيل آهي؟ ڇا حڪومتي ڏس تي ضايع ٿيل ڊيٽا جي باري ۾ ان ماڻهوءَ کي ٻڌايو ويندو آهي؟ ۽ ڇا حڪومتي ادارن کي ڪنهن جو به ڊيٽا ڏسڻ لاءِ آسانيءَ سان اجازت ڏني ويندي آهي؟
انهن سڀني ڳالهين کي سامهون رکندي هڪ لسٽ تيار ڪئي وئي، جنهن ۾ اڊوب، اميزون ۽ ايپل سڀين کان مٿي ڄاڻايا ويا آهن. مائيڪروسافٽ کي درمياني درجي تي ڏيکاريو ويو آهي، جڌهن ته واٽس ايپ جو شمار ماڻهن جي سڪيورٽي جي حساب سان دنيا جي بدترين ڪمپنين ۾ ڪيو ويو آهي. هن رپورٽ ۾ ٻڌايو ويو آهي ته ڪمپني نه صرف ڪنهن قسم جو سڪيورٽي انتظام ٿي رکي پر حڪومتي حڪمن تي ڪنهن به ماڻهوءَ جو ڊيٽا آسانيءَ سان فراهم ڪيو ويندو آهي. ماهرين جو مڃڻ آهي ته سيڪيورٽيءَ جي لحاظ کان واٽس ايپ بلڪل به ڀروسي جي قابل نه آهي.
