LAHORE: Minister for Water and Electricity Mr. Abid Sher Ali ordered to conduct an investigation against the Employees and Officers of Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (LESCO).
During the investigation, 22 employees including officers of LESCO has been suspended. According to reports, these 22 officials have been suspended under the charges of Corruption, Power Theft and Over Billing. LESCO conducted an investigation of 92 employees, working under the organization, after which Minister Abid Sher Ali ordered to lay off 22 employees of LESCO.
On other hand, LESCO has demoted 42 of its employees and 28 employees has been stopped from being promoted. Employees which have been laid off, include XEN’s, SDO’s and Superintendent Engineers.
